If you fancy getting out of your room to study here’s some information on the different revision areas available around Halls for quiet study in preparation for exams.
GREENBANK STUDENT VILLAGE
Students at Greenbank are lucky to have the 24 hour library on site, here there are computers and also desks with charging points for any devices you need to help you study. The lounge in reception is also available for you to use with additional revision tables set up in reception. If you need any help or would like to book one of the small study rooms, please just ask at reception.
CARNATIC STUDENT VILLAGE
If you live at Carnatic Student Village and are looking for somewhere else to study other than your room, the Herculaneum Room is now available until the end of exams on Friday 1st June. The Herculaneum Room has Wi-Fi so you will be able to connect your laptops to the network/internet to help with your study if you like. The opening times for this space will be:
Monday to Friday: 7am to 10.30pm
Weekends: 7.30am to 6.30pm
Single-student revision tables have been set up in the communal area to provide a study space from until exams finish on Friday 1st June. Come on down if you want a quiet study space away from the distractions of your housemates!
DOVER COURT AND PHILHARMONIC COURT
Remember that your study rooms are available as normal throughout the exam period. In Dover Court the TV and X box will not be in use from during the exam period to allow the space to be used fully as a quiet study area.
VINE COURT/ MELVILLE GROVE/ TUDOR CLOSE
If you can’t find a space in the Sydney Jones or just want a change of scenery then Vine Court has you covered. The mezzanine above reception and the restaurants Mezzanine area will be set up for you to use as revision space over the next couple of weeks.
